Apple loves the letter ‘i’ – and now it seems BMW will follow. According to a recent trademark filing, BMW has filed a registration for a new trademark and logo for their project i vehicles. The German automaker also registered i1, i2, i3, i4, i5, i6, i7, i8 and i9.
From now until 2013, BMW will invest $561 million in new buildings and machinery for the production of the Megacity Vehicle, which will enter production in 2013. The automaker has also setup a new facility in Moses Lake, Washington, which will make lightweight carbon fiber reinforced plastics used for production on the Megacity.
According to reports so far, the 5-seater BMW Megacity get around 160 miles on a single charge.
