2011 Chevrolet Cruze Awarded IIHS Top Safety Pick

The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety announced today that a total of 66 vehicles earned the Top Safety Pick award for 2011 including 40 cars, 25 SUVs and a minivan.

“Top Safety Pick recognizes vehicles that do the best job of protecting people in front, side, rollover, and rear crashes based on good ratings in Institute tests,” IIHS said in a statement. “Winners also must have available electronic stability control, a crash avoidance feature that significantly reduces crash risk. The ratings help consumers pick vehicles that offer a higher level of protection than federal safety standards require.”

Hyundai/Kia and Volkswagen/Audi each had 9 winners in 2011. next in line with 8 Top Safety Picks apiece are General Motors, Ford/Lincoln and Toyota/Lexus/Scion. Subaru is the only manufacturer with a winner in all the vehicle classes in which it competes. Subaru earned 5 awards for 2011.

where is nissan maxima, the safest 4 door sedan on the market?

    The matter is obvious.
The use of modern technology made it more suitable and versatile to drive these different models. As a result, now they became able to get the greatest prize winner from IIHS.
Among the above models, Volvo C30 is one of my favorite which I enjoy too much in driving.
    Thanks for this cool post.
