AutoCar Drives the Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4

While Lamborghini has yet to fully unveil the successor to the Murcielago, aka Aventador LP700-4, the Italian automaker has already sold a reported 50 units of the car from customers in Singapore.

The Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 is scheduled to go on sale next year and is currently undergoing final testing. According to recent document leak, the Aventador LP700-4 will be powered by a 6.5L V12 engine making 690-hp and a maximum torque of 509 lb-ft. It will be mated to the company’s new ISR (Independent Shifting Rod) transmission and will go from 0-60 mph in 2.9 seconds with a top speed of 217 mph.
