2011 Chrysler 300 will make its world debut at the 2011 Detroit Auto Show

The 2011 Detroit Auto Show, which will be held next month, is expected to feature 30 to 40 world vehicle debuts, according to the shows organizers. So far we know that the 2011 Audi A6, 2011 Chrysler 300, Ford Escape Concept, Honda Civic Concept and the Toyota Prius MPV will be making their debuts at the show.

Porsche will be returning to the show after several years and is expected to reveal something very “spectacular,” which we’re hoping will be a production version of the 918 Spyder.

At the 2010 Detroit Auto Show, automakers introduced a total of 37 production and concept vehicles. Nissan, Infiniti, Mitsubishi, Rolls-Royce, Fisker and Suzuki will all be skipping the show again this year.

Press days for the show start Jan. 10. We’ll be there providing you with live coverage. Stay tuned.

I went to the Abu Dhabi International Motor Show last week, dutifully paid my AED 20 (about $5.50) entry fee and was surprised NOT to find Mercedes, BMW, Audi, Lamborghini, Nissan, Honda, Porsche, Fiat, Bentley, Rolls Royce, Bugatti, Citroen, Renault, Seat, Chrysler, Dodge, Volvo, Saab nor Tata. Not much of an International Motor Show.
