Next-generation Infiniti G seen by company execs, FWD compact model to debut in Geneva

2011 Infiniti IPL G Coupe

Sources have confirmed that the next-generation lineup of Infiniti’s G has been shown to the company’s management. The car is reported to feature “dramatic” use of LED strip lights at its front end.

How soon will the public get to see it? Well, you’ll have to wait a while. A near production concept is scheduled to debut at the 2011 Tokyo Motor Show followed by a production version at the 2012 Detroit Motor Show. That means you won’t see it at your local dealerships until mid-2012.

A small front-wheel-drive Infiniti model will debut in concept form at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show along with a stylish electric hatchback based on the Nissan LEAF around the same time.
