It was reported earlier this month that the Lamborghini Sesto Elemento has been approved for limited production with only 7 to 10 examples to be produced going for $3.44 million a piece.
Reports now say that Lamborghini plans on putting the Sesto Elemento into production as a track-only special.
“We are testing the Sesto Elemento at the moment and if it all goes well then we could look at a limited production run,” said CEO Stephan Winkelmann. “But it would not be homologated because there are complications with things like airbags. It would be for track use only.
Winkelmann says that Lamborghini is increasingly likely to make several examples of Sesto Elemento so 7 to 10 examples may just be a rumor.
