2012 Hyundai Azera sketches released, next-generation model to move upscale

2012 Hyundai Azera Sketches

Hyundai has released teaser sketches of the next-generation Azera sedan, which will debut as a 2012 model year in the United States. John Krafcik, CEO of Hyundai Motor America said that the next Azera will move more upscale from the current model but will still fit between the midsize Sonata and the full-size Genesis.

“We have changed everything, it’s a remarkable car,” Krafcik said at the 2010 LA Auto Show. “It will surprise a lot of people.”

Krafcik did not confirm the launch date for the next-generation Azera but said the vehicle “is not that far away.”

The sketches you see here are of the fifth-generation Grandeur – as the Azera is known in Korea.
