Aston Martin isn’t using the upcoming 2010 LA Auto Show to debut the new Cygnet concept – No no, the Cygnet is to luxurious for that. Instead, the luxury sports car manufacture chose to debut the Toyota iQ based Cygnet at the world’s most prestigious department store – Harrods in Knightsbridge.

The Aston Martin Cygnet will go into production in 2011 at the company”s global headquarters in Gaydon, Warwickshire in England and will become the eighth production Aston introduced to its facility since 2004.

Refresher: Based on the Toyota iQ, the Aston Martin Cygnet will be powered by a 1.3L engine making 97-hp, allowing it to hit a top speed of 105 mph. Aston Martin will make around 2,000 units and will sell them for around £20,000 (about $35,000 USD) a pop. The Cygnet is only available to those who currently own an Aston.
