Kia sales going so well that it’s worried about running out of cars to sell

Kia is enjoying some very nice brand exposure, a nicely revamped lineup and strong sales (there is something that you thought we’d never say about Kia). The corporate cousin of Hyundai is doing so well that it seems to be running out of cars to sell. The 2011 Kia Optima, Soul, Sportage and Sorento are all selling pretty well for the brand. In fact, Kia is worried about running out of of some of its new models.

“The challenge we are tackling in the meantime is meeting the overwhelming demand for newly introduced models like the all-new Sportage and Optima which have received tremendous attention from the world’s media and consumers alike,” Thomas Oh, senior executive vice president, said.

In October 2010, Kia saw its sale in the United States increase 36.8 percent – on a global basis, Kia reported a sales increase of 22.7 percent.
