When will VW learn their competition is Highlander, Explorer, Acadia, and Pilot, not X5, ML, Q7 and Cayenne?

VW wants to give you everything possible in the car, so you can say “I have it!” but they then charge for each feature with the total price not being content competitive. They need to look at their competition to see how feature rich even some of the lesser SUV’s are. Alternatively, they chould offer lesser versions without the full length moon roof, the rear seat heaters,etc.. or even with just front wheel drive, but at $10k less. Take out the things that you would only use once in while (a moon roof in FL, give me a break!) and keep what you need each day in an upsacle SUV. Then VW will have something that it both price and content competitive and they can then have the Touareg be the success in the US that it is in Europe. As it is now, way too much money for fancy features at a price that will only stunt thier sales growth.
