2011 Ford Mustang Kompresser by GeigerCars
Part of the reason Americans love muscle cars is because of how modifiable they are: it”s part of the American fabric to take something and make it better. This gene is spreading, it seems, and now European tuners are taking turns with American legends as well. Geiger Cars, a German tuner shop, has released a kit for the new Mustang, and it seems as though they”ve learned quite well. By adding a twin-screw, 2.3L supercharger to the V8 Mustang, they”ve tacked on 84 horsepower and 77 pound-feet of torque. These numbers would be substantial in any circumstance, but on the already buffed out Mustang, they verge on ridiculous. Also ridiculous: they”ve removed the limiter, letting the car reach 170 mph.

There is a price to pay for this performance: the tuning upgrade costs 13,000 Euros, or $18,000, on top of the $58,000+ price tag for the V8 Mustang itself. A high price to pay? Certainly. But it”s also a lot of power to wield. And, in case an ambitious owner wanted to take their Mustang to another level entirely, Geiger Cars have also offered a body kit that costs about $9,700. This package includes a sports chassis for improved ride quality, as well as ultralight OZ, 20 inch metal rims and high performance tires.
The car also receives a small Geiger Cars logo- relatively unflashy badging for a car that probably deserves more attention than it”ll get, for what”s underneath. It”s not for everyone, certainly; but Geiger Cars has done a pretty good job of matching what the Americans can do with this Motor City icon.

2011 Ford Mustang Kompresser by GeigerCars:
Press Release:
GeigerCars.de GmbH – Ford Mustang 2011 Compressor
Supercharged! Ford Mustang 2011 with compressor power
In early summer of this year – and therefore just in time for the introduction of the trendy Pony Car on its home market – GeigerCars.de presented the first vehicles of the 2011 Ford Mustang generation in the Munich showroom as well.
The Bavarian US car specialists now reacts by taking their own tuning version of the V8 coupé to the start. It was refined both regarding looks and performance.
GeigerCars.de brings the 5.0-Liter-V8 a step forward by adapting the compressor. A twin-screw supercharger for a volume of 2.3 litres puts an over-pressure of 0.5 bar on this wild horse’s eight combustion chambers. In connection with other technical improvements, this conversion leads to a performance increase from once 412 to now 497 HP available at 6,400 rpm. 4,200 rotations already lead to a torque of 634 Newton metres (series 529 Nm at 4,250 rpm). With this performance upgrade, GeigerCars.de removes the Mustang’s factory-set Vmax lock. It now has a maximum speed of 274 km/h after an acceleration orgy through the six levels of its automatic gear.
For best driving dynamics, GeigerCars.de gave the US-Boy both a sports chassis and extremely light OZ Ultraleggera light-metal wheel rims at a size of 8.5×20 and 10×20 inches. While 245/35R20 high-performance tires indicate direction, the drive axle uses 285/30R20 rubber tires to dig into the asphalt.
The Prices
Basis vehicle: 42,900 Euro
Performance increase: 12,990 Euro
Set of wheels: 5,190 Euro
Sports chassis: 1,899 Euro
