A couple of days ago, a short video of a Chrysler 300 powered by a Dodge Viper V10 engine showed up on Dodge’s YouTube channel. Well, Red Letter Dodge (Dodge’s company blog) has released more details of the vehicle. Turns out the car isn’t a 2010 SEMA project – rather it is a creation of Derek Ekins.

The owners showed up with his 525-hp 2006 Chrysler 300 Touring at the 11th Annual Viper Owner”s Invitational.

“In place of the factory-installed 3.5-liter V6 that originally powered the vehicle sits Dodge”s gen III 8.3L Viper V10 engine, which Derek claims cranks out 25 more horsepower than the original,” Dodge said. “Even more inspiring than the performance, though, is how all of this came to be.”
