Video: Drifting with supercars at Monticello and the Cadillac CTS-V Coupe

In the first annual “Drift With The Supercars” at New York’s Monticello Motor Club, an impressive variety of expensive supercars turned up for an outrageous tire-smoking face-off. The Cadillac CTS-V seemed to be the highlight taking the winning spot for the Best Drift in a New Car.
The winners came in as follows:
- Best drift in drift car: Nissan 350Z.
- Best drift in supercar: Mercedes-Benz CLK Black Series.
- Best drift in new car: Cadillac CTS-V Coupe.

Refresher: The 2011 Cadillac CTS-V Coupe is powered by the same supercharged 6.2L V8 that sits in the CTS-V sedan ““ putting out 556-hp and a peak torque of 551 lb-ft. Mated to either a Tremec TR6060 6-speed manual with a dual-disc clutch or a Hydra-Matic 6L90 6-speed automatic with paddle-shift control, the CTS-V Coupe can sprint from 0-60 mph in 3.9 seconds. Braking power comes from Brembo brakes, 6-piston calipers in the front and 4-piston calipers in the rear.
