Chrysler recalls 840 2010 Ram pickups for incorrect labeling

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration announced today that Chrysler is recalling 840 units of the 2010 model year Ram pickups due to incorrect labeling that could increase the risk of an accident.

“Some vehicles have been built with certification and/or supplemental tire pressure information labels printed with incorrect weight or seating capacity information,” NHTSA said. “The misinformation on these labels could lead to, among other things, failure to follow proper vehicle loading specifications that could increase the risk of a crash.”

Owners of the 2010 Ram pickups will be provided with replacement labels. Recalls are expected to start later this month and owners can contact Chrysler at 800-853-1403.
