Matthias Muller officially becomes CEO of Porsche AG

Yesterday, Matthias Muller became the new Chief Executive Officer of Porsche AG as CEO Michael Macht ceremonially handed the Porsche steering wheel to his successor on the eve of the 2010 Paris Auto Show.

“Muller, comes to Porsche via the Volkswagen Group, where he previously was in charge of Product Planning, Product Management and Model Series for the VW Group and the Volkswagen Brand and very successfully contributed to the development of the Group”s product lines,” Porsche said in a statement.

At the 2010 Paris Motor Show, Muller will unveil the new 911 Speedster and the 911 GTS Coupe and Cabriolet to the media.

Michael Macht will move on to become Member of the Group Board Management of Volkswagen AG. He will be responsible for the Production Division and the control and coordination of all plants within the V-dub Group.
