2010 Paris: Lotus Eterne Concept shows future sedan GT (w/ video)

Reviving and revolutionizing its lineup, Lotus Cars today unveiled the new Eterne Concept, a hint at a future four-seater, four-door GT hybrid. Lotus says that you should think of the Lotus Eterne as a “statement of intent” and the intent of Lotus is to plan for a production model in 2015.
The Lotus Eterne concept sedan is powered by the same 620-hp 5.0L V8 found in the new Lotus Elite concept. A hybrid system is optional and consists of electric-motors and a KERS, Formula 1 style energy regeneration system. Lotus says that the production Eterne will be offered in both all-wheel-drive and rear-wheel-drive configurations. 0-60 mph should come in just 4.0 seconds when mated to a full hybrid transmission.
“We truly believe that there is a market for the Eterne,” said CEO Dany Bahar. There is nothing else like it out there in terms of design, capacity and performance.”
Prices are projected to come in around $190,000.
