Lotus Elite Concept

It’s been a crazy day for Lotus. Besides showing us the new Elise, Elan, Esprit and Eterne concepts, the company released the first images of the Lotus Elite concept with its top down.

The Lotus Elite concept, which was revealed prior to the 2010 Paris Motor Show, is powered by a front-mid positioned 5.0L V8 unit making 611-hp and a torque of 531 lb-ft. Mated to a hybrid gearbox with optional integrated electric motors and KERS, the Elite is capable of going from 0 to 62 mph in 3.5 to 3.7 seconds. Top speed comes in at 196 mph.

The hardtop convertible concept is slated to start production in early 2014 and should be on sale a couple months after. Prices will start around $180,000.
