Report: Infiniti planning compact B-platform crossover
Infiniti has a lot going on as of recently. Besides the new redesigned 2011 Infiniti M, dealers are awaiting the arrival of a new entry-level G sedan, the $30,950 2011 G25. They are also looking forward to the arrival 2011 Infiniti IPL G Coupe and the 2011 M35 Hybrid, both due by the end of this year.
According to Automotive News, the Infiniti FX crossover and the EX compact crossover are both due for some styling upgrades within the next two years.
The Nissan-owned luxury brand is also planning smaller crossover is under development for the 2013 model year or a year later. The model may carry a ‘DX’ badging and will be a global vehicle that is expected to share a new B-platform chassis with Mercedes-Benz as part of a new product-sharing partnership involving Nissan, Renault SA and Daimler AG.
Over the weekend, Infiniti dropped the first sketch of its electric-vehicle that is due in 2013, and pictures of the Infiniti IPL G Convertible concept.
