Report: New Fiat-based small Jeep will attract younger buyers

Jeep brand CEO Michael Manley is hoping that the new small Jeep scheduled to arrive in 2013 will attract a wider range of buyers to the brand since it is expected to be the brand’s lowest-priced model, Jeep’s top executive said today.
The yet-to-be-named SUV will be the smallest vehicle in Jeep’s lineup and will share a Fiat powertrain and platform.
Manley said that the main goal of the compact Jeep will be to cater to the B-segment for markets outside North America – however, the model is expected to attract younger buyers to the brand.
Today, the lowest-priced Jeep is the 2011 Patriot, at $18,425.
