Piaskowski, ex-Hyundai and Mercedes designer to join FoMoCo

FoMoCo spokesman Alan Hall confirmed today that designer Joel Piaskowski will join the company on October 1 as director of exterior design for The Americas. Piaskowski formerly held positions as a designer of Hyundai and Mercedes-Benz.

Piaskowski will be reporting to Moray Callum and will fill the position Callum left when he took over as executive director of design for The Americas in May 2009.

Piaskowski started his career with General Motors and eventually become director of North American Design Studios at the Hyundai Kia America Technical Center in Irvine. His most recent position was head of the Advanced Design study for Mercedes-Benz in Irvine, California, which he held from late 2008 until March of this year.
