Ferrari California

At the 2010 Paris Motor Show later this month, Ferrari is rumored to introduce a ‘green’ California. Details are a bit vague right now but according to OmniAuto the model won’t be a hybrid.

The green Ferrari California will instead have improved direct injection system, low friction engine components, multi-cylinder deactivation, and a regenerative braking system like the HY-KERS concept, which debuted at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show earlier this year.

The Ferrari 599 GTB HY-KERS Concept carried a number of fuel-saving technologies including a high-voltage lithium-ion powered electric-motor mated to the rear of the dual-clutch 7-speed F1 transmission. At the time, Ferrari said that the concept is one of the solutions it is studying into making its road-going cars more fuel-efficient.

Stay tuned for more details.
