The compact minivan segment is a popular one in Europe. Hyundai will be looking to get a piece of the pie and is set to debut a new B-segment MPV known as ix20. The Korean automaker has released a sketch of the model, which will make its official debut at the 2010 Paris Motor Show later this month.
“Designed and developed at Hyundai’s European R&D centre in Rüsselsheim, Germany, the ix20 is the second European car, following the ix35, to adopt Hyundai’s new ‘fluidic sculpture’ design language,” Hyundai said in a statement. “The name ix20 reflects the new model’s crossover-like versatility ““ a vehicle with the ability to simultaneously serve as a functional people-carrier while providing a dynamic, fun-to-drive experience.”
Hyundai will also hold the world premiere of the new i10 at the show and will showcase some new developments of its Blue DriveTM eco-focused program.
