There will be no Scion tC Convertible

2011 Scion tC

It was reported earlier this year that Scion may be planning a convertible version of the Scion tC to give the brand an exciting drop-top to capture more of the youth market – well, it’s not going to happen.

“There is no tC convertible planned nor being discussed,” Jack Hollis, vice president of Scion told Inside Line. “It doesn’t mean there’s not room for one, and we continually look at different designs for convertibles, but we just haven’t found anything we’ve gotten all excited about for Scion.”

Hollis said that convertibles tend to target a female audience and that the Scion tC is targeting men in their 20s.
