Toyota Prius becomes Japan’s best-selling vehicle for the 15th straight month

While sales of the Toyota Prius fell 30 percent in the North American market during the month of July 2010, sales of the hybrid in the Japanese market we up making the vehicle the best selling vehicle in Japan for the 15th straight month.

Toyota said that it has sold more than 2.68 million hybrids around the world so far with a million sold in Japan alone. In Japan, buyers are scrambling to buy the Prius hybrid to take advantage of tax credits and other rebates provided by the government.
