We’re pretty excited to see the Fiat 500 make its U.S. debut in 2011 but we’d be more excited to see the Abarth 695 Tributo Ferrari version make it to the stateside… well, that was until we learned the price that we might have to pay for the Ferrari inspired model.
Fiat announced today that the 152 limited examples of the Abarth 695 Tributo Ferrari will be available in Britain with prices starting at 35,500 euros – that translates to $46,673 USD. Is the Abarth 695 Tributo Ferrari worth that much? Let’s take a look. Power for the special-edition model comes from a 180-hp 1.4L Turbo T-Jet 16v engine that is mated to an MTA (Manual Transmission Automated) with race-inspired steering-wheel mounted paddle shifters. That allows 0-62 mph to come in 7 seconds with a top speed of 7 seconds. Yes, we’re pretty sure, there is something better out there for $46,673.
At the end of the day, we guess it all depends on how exclusive you want your vehicle to be.

ABARTH 695 TRIBUTO FERRARI ROARS INTO VIEW ““ IN RIGHT HAND DRIVE
It has already attracted critical acclaim in both hard top and convertible form, and as a potent esseesse version. Now the Abarth 500 is arriving in even more exclusive style ““ as the Abarth 695 Tributo Ferrari.
Every Abarth reflects the high performance brand’s direct connection with competition, and the new 695 Tributo Ferrari takes these links to a new level, with stunning performance matched to perfect day-to-day usability.

The original Abarth 695 was introduced in the mid-1960s. The pinnacle of this series was a 38hp engine ““ though fine-tuning could raise this to over 50hp.
