Last first-generation Mercedes-Benz CLS

The first-generation Mercedes-Benz CLS, the vehicle that revolutionized the four-door-coupe segment, has officially ended production. The model originally made its debut in 2004 and went onto sell more than 170,000 units.

The last unit of the Mercedes-Benz CLS was a CLS 550 with an AMG styling package built for an American customer.

The second-generation 2011 Mercedes-Benz CLS, which will be based on the F800 Style Concept.  will debut at the 2010 Paris Motor Show next month and will go on sale in Europe shortly after. U.S. sales are expected to start in early 2011.
