2011 Ford Mustang / 2011 Chevrolet Camaro

On a month-to-month basis one of the closest watched sales battles is the one between the Ford Mustang and the Chevrolet Camaro.

The Chevrolet Camaro outpaced the Ford Mustang earlier this year in April as FoMoCo was preparing to bring in the 2011 305-hp Ford Mustang V6 and the 412-hp Ford Mustang GT 5.0L V8 into dealerships. Since then, the Mustang has been selling better than the Camaro on a monthly basis, taking the sales crown in May 2010 and again in June 2010.

However, in July, both fought strong and hard for the top spot but the Mustang eventually took the lead selling at total of 7,489 units, while the Camaro lagged behind by three units for a total of 7,486 units.

Chrysler’s Dodge Challenger sold a total of 3,695 units.

HA! I knew it was only time before the Mustang reign supreme yet again. Now if only the Challenger would step up its game to really see a blood bath in the battlefield!!!

Mustang has not reigned supreme yet. Three cars more this month means nothing considering they've been giving away the 2010 V6s, especially to women, here in Las Vegas. Let's wait until the 2010s are gone before we really see the stats.
