After the new McLaren MP4-12C made its public debut at the 2010 Goodwood Festival of Speed, McLaren said that it has received more than 2,700 firm “expressions of interests” from those looking to buy the new supercar.

If those “expressions of interests” are converted into firm sales, that will be enough to account for at lest two years of production for the MP4-12C. Initial sales of the 2012 McLaren MP4-12C will start in the summer of 2011 in the United States. The base MSRP is said to range between $225,000 and $250,000. Official pricing details will be announced at a later date.

McLaren Automotive also plans to follow up the MP4-12C with a new F1 in 2012 and another entry-level supercar. A convertible MP4-12C has also been rumored.
