Tesla Model S

In May, Toyota and Tesla announced their new partnership in which the Japanese automaker would invest $50 million in the American electric-car company following it’s initial public offering, which took place on June 29.

According to reports coming out of Japan, Toyota is now working on a new electric-car that will feature Tesla Motors technology. Toyota’s CEO Akio Toyoda was quoted in media reports from Japan saying that Toyota is working on a prototype electric-vehicle with Tesla.

CNNMoney says that it has obtained an internal Toyota briefing document confirming the reports.

It is currently unclear how far the vehicle is in development but Toyoda said details of the program will be released later. How later? We have no clue.

Toyota, is very smart. Tesla has the model down, when it comes to aesthetics, and Toyota has the cash and branding to put them both together.

This is not a matter of astonish that Toyota is growing its market and trying to send new electric vehicles to the market. Soon Toyota will send some hybrid and electric car to world car market.

I agree. Between the to Auto makers I would say Toyota is the better. Sure… Tesla comes in with some decent engineering technology for Electric Motor, and Battery systems but that alone does not make an industry leader. Take that EV technology into the right hands such as Toyota and you’ve got immediate trust.

A good looking model and design is fair enough, but Tesla isn’t what I would call a “model company” for the new EV space. There are equal or lessor known EV companies which have a better product especially for the money. Unfortunately; they are not as well marketed. Companies like Goss132 who is flying under the radar, Fisker, and Phoenix are all genuinely good EV Brands I believe.

Regarding a good design or appearance… I would say Goss132 first, and Fisker a close second though I realize they make different types of EV’s. Goss132 is more for family sedans, and Fisker is for a sport edition mostly.
