Report: Obama to name Ford’s Alan Mulally to export council
Earlier this month, FoMoCo CEO Alan Mulally made his way down to Washington to have lunch with business leaders from around the country and President Barack Obama. It seems like Mulally and Obama get along a littler better than everyone thought.
According to The Detroit News Obama plans to appoint Mulally to a presidential council on exports. The President is expected to hold a meeting on exports tomorrow.
Earlier this year, Obama named Boeing president and CEO W. James McNerney Jr. as chair of the President’s Export Council — a group first created in 1973 by executive order.
