Surprise! Porsche beats Mini in its glorified Road Atlanta race

It’s probably one of the most ridiculous races you’ve ever heard of in your life – a Mini Cooper S vs. a Porsche 911 Carrera S. Well, Mini thought it would be interesting and challenged Porsche to a race at Road Atlanta. At first Porsche declined and it seemed like Hyundai was going to step in for Porsche – however, Mini some how got a Porsche 911 Carrera S to show up and race.

They even got Joe Rogan (UFC commentator) to host the whole thing.

The video was later removed from YouTube due to copyright issues..

    Mini has a great opportunity. They lost by 1 second. Is the gazillion dollar Porsche worth all that for one second? Impressive finish by Mini, granted the course was biased toward the “go cart” handling.

    OK, so the Mini lost but not by much, and how much publicity has this stunt generated? The whole thing has been splashed all over the internet, that's a clever move by Mini's marketing team.
