Elon Musk reveals future Tesla models, crossover, convertible, van in the works

Tesla Motors future product plans

Tesla Motors is getting ready for its initial public offering of stock next week, and CEO Elon Musk is out on a investor roadshow with videos and web-based PowerPoint presentations that show what to expect from the electric-car company.

The presentations reveal a range of new models that will be based on an “adaptive common platform.”

Besides the upcoming Tesla Model S sedan, the platform will be the basis of a convertible, a crossover and a van that we expect will be for commercial use (as it looks like an electrified Ford Transit Connect).
