Volkswagen AG has announced that it is recalling approximately 16,000 units of the Routan minivan to address fire concerns that may be caused by the latches on the sliding doors. V-dub said that the recall affects the 2009 Routan.
The Routan is jointly developed with Chrysler LLC at the company’s Windsor, Ontario, plant.
Of course that means the issue is coming from Chrysler, which recently announced a recall of nearly 285,000 Dodge Grand Caravan and Chrysler Town & Country minivans because of fire concerns inside the sliding doors.
