Most parents would get their 16 year old a used Honda Civic for their birthday (given that’s how old they would have to be to get their driver’s license), but when you’re the son of Diddy (aka Puff Daddy, Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, P. Diddy), you get a Maybach worth about $360,000.

In January, Justin Dior Combs was gifted a $360,000 by his hip-hop mogul father bringing to question whether the 16-year old actually deserved such a lavish gift.

In an interview with ABC Nightline’s Martin Bashir, Diddy explained his reasoning for buying his son the uber-expensive sedan:

“I think it’s appropriate to give my kids whatever I want to give my kids. I feel the way I raise my children, I don’t have to explain to you or anyone else, ’cause nobody knows the way I raise my children. So nobody knows the lessons that I’ve taught my children to understand, if they are mentally ready for that.”
