FoMoCo calls press conference for later this afternoon, may announce Mercury’s death

FoMoCo has called a press conference for later this afternoon to discuss “brand and product strategy.” The company is expected to confirm its rumored decision to kill the Mercury brand. According to Detroit News FoMoCo is also likely to announce that the new compact vehicle promised for Mercury will now be launched under the Lincoln badge.
