RM Auctions announced yesterday that it has sold a rare 1963 Ferrari 250 GTO to a bidder that paid close to the $20 million asking price. While RM’s discretion prevents it from revealing the name of the winner, media reports say that the person is Chris Evans, a UK TV/radio personality.

The 1963 Ferrari 250 GTO is one of the 36 units built between 1962 and 1963. It is a rear-wheel-drive, front-engined car powered by a 3.0L V12 all-aluminum unit making 290-hp. The suspension consists of double wishbones up front and a solid live axle in back.

The model sold was one of a handful built with Series II bodywork and has switched hands between many famous Italian people.
