2011 BMW 5-Series diesel confirmed for the United States
We’ve previously heard many rumors of a 5-Series diesel for the stateside, and today a BMW official confirmed the arrival of a diesel-powered 5-Series.
Speaking to Inside Line, the BMW official wouldn’t confirm which diesel model is headed to the U.S., but did say it would be one of the diesel models currently sold in Europe.
We’re putting our money on the BMW 530d, which is powered by a 3.0L 6-cylinder diesel engine making 245-hp with a maximum torque of 398 lb-ft. 0-62 mph comes in 6.3 with a top speed of 155 mph.
