In addition to the upgraded 2011 Audi Q7 and the all-new 2011 Audi A8, other models in the automaker’s lineup will be getting some updates for the 2011 model year.
The new ZF-sourced 8-speed automatic, which will be called Tiptronic, will replace the 6-speed transmission in quattro-equipped vehicles with the 2.0L turbocharged 4-cylinder engine. Those vehicles include the A4 2.0T quattro sedan and avant and the A5 2.0T quattro coupe and cabriolet. All Q7 and all A8 models will get the ZF 8-speed automatic as well.
The front-wheel-drive A4 and A5 models along with the A6, S6, and the 3.2L Q5 will continue to use their 6-speed automatic transmissions.
The 2011 Audi Q5 will also get a 2.0L TFSI engine for 2011. The engine makes 211-hp and a peak torque of 258 lb-ft. It will also be paired with the ZF 8-speed automatic.
All of the new 2011 Audi models will be on sale this fall.
