2005 Infiniti G35 Coupe

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said that Nissan is recalling 134,215 Infiniti G35 sedans and coupes due to a faulty airbag that may not deploy during a crash. The recall covers Infiniti G35 sedans from model years 2005-2006 and G35 coupes from 2005-2007.

The NHTSA reports show that Nissan has yet to inform federal officials of how the problem will be fixed. The automaker notified regulators of the problem two weeks ago.

NHTSA said that a wire harness for the airbags may wear down to the point that it could interrupt a signal to deploy airbags in the event of an accident. No crashes or injuries have been reported.
