At next week’s Beijing Motor Show, Chinese automaker JAC’s will reveal its Smart ForTwo competitor, a car that looks like the Toyota iQ… but better. Why better? Because the JAC IV Concept was designed by the firm’s Italian facility in Milan, so right off the bat it’s got some sex appeal for a subcompact ride.

The $2 million dollar facility was built in 2005 and focuses on the design of JAC cars and engineering techniques that can be sent back to the Chinese automaker’s owner r&d department.

The JAC IV Concept will have a hybrid powertrain, but we’ll get more details next week. Stay tuned.
