As of right now General Motors hasn’t announced anything official on a Chevrolet Cruze SS. It would be interesting to see what Chevy comes up with to compete against the Honda Civic Si, MazdaSpeed3, the upcoming high-performance Ford Focus and maybe even the Volkswagen Golf GTI.

In the meantime, those waiting to get their hands on the new Chevrolet Cruze, but want something a little more aggressive, can opt for the RS package. Available only on the LT and LTZ models, the RS Package gives the two Cruze models unique fascias, rocker moldings, rear spoiler, special wheels, fog lamps and RS badging.

On the inside, the RS package adds chrome accent, opaque cluster bezels and some interesting cloth touches on the dash.

This isn't bad. Definately better than the Civic and Corolla, but I don't think it can compete with the jetta. More so with the Golf, but I would buy a Golf over this. I bought a new GTI and have no regrets.
