Mercedes-Benz B-Class AMG model will look more like a F800 Style

Earlier this morning, we told you that Mercedes-Benz is planning on doing a high-performance AMG version of the new redesigned B-Class. Now that may have some you thinking that the model will be a B-Class wagon looking high-performance model – well, that’s not entirely the case.

While it’s true that Mercedes-Benz AMG division will be doing a high-performance compact car based on the next-generation B-Class, the model will look something more like the F800 Style Concept shown at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show last month.

The model will be slotted below the next-generation C 63 AMG and will be a sedan with design influences from the next CLS. It will have a coupe-like profile with an aggressive stance and prominent crease lines.

Instead of a turbo 4-cylinder engine (as reported earlier this morning), the model will use a supercharged 3.2L V6 engine making somewhere close to 400-hp.

Yup, we’re much more excited now than we were this morning.
