Bored at work on this rainy (if you live in the East Coast) Monday morning? Well, here’s something for you to kill time before you head off to lunch. Mattel has just launched their new interactive promotion called “Hot Wheels Custom Motors Cup Challenge,” a game you can play right on YouTube.
Think of it like a choose your own adventure interactive YouTube video. The viewer picks between a GT Racer and Baja Truck, customizes them and then gets to watch them race to see who wins. Players have the option of choosing one of 3 accessories and watching them race again on a different track.
Mattel says all the videos were shot in stop motion and required 26 days of production, 9,181 frames captured, 1m 16s to shoot each individual frame, 88 individual camera angles, 85 lbs of sugar (snow), 150 lbs of sand (desert track).
