Lexus LFA Nurburgring Edition in the works, tuned track driving

It was briefly reported back in Oct. 2009 that the new Lexus LFA will be offered in a track-spec trim package.  According to a Japanese weblog, Lexus is currently working on a track edition of the Lexus LFA that will be optimized for circuit driving and will be named the Nurburgring Edition.

The model will get a fixed rear-wing, large front spoiler, sports tuned suspension and a boost of 10 horses. It will also be available in four colors including this vibrant orange you see above.

Why Lexus won’t name this special-edition LFA the “Fuji Speedway Edition” is mind-boggling to us since the LFA is a part of the Lexus “F” roots, which it says stands for the Fuji Speedway in Japan.
