If the incident of James Sikes’ runaway Prius in San Diego wasn’t already giving Toyota a headache, another Prius sped out of control in New York causing minor injuries to the driver. Harrison Police said a woman smashed into a stone wall this morning because of a stuck accelerator in a Toyota Prius.

The car “shot” across the street smashing into a stone wall, Chief Anthony Marraccini said. The driver, a 56-year-old woman suffered “non-life threatening” injuries.

Marraccini said that the pedal being stuck in the floor mat has been ruled out as a cause since the 2005 model year Prius had already taken action by tying the mat to the seat base with plastic ties.

The car was taken to police headquarters while the driver was being taken care of at White Plains Hospital Center.

Soon, every car accident will just use the accelerator problem as an excuse, over stupid human errors and stuffs like that. Can't people just stop talking about unnecessary links to Toyota? Sometimes, it can just be people who have not sent their cars to necessary maintenance. =(

Owww. Toyota, is in deep shit. But that's life for ya.

if everyone drove cars with manual transmissions, as the good Lord intended, then no one would have to worry about “Unintended Acceleration”.

I am starting to wonder if idiotic people are starting to do this intentionally to get a new car?!? lol

Runaway Cars gas pedal that get stuck to floor mats? Or is it in the computer system I don’t know but it is truly scary. I had a recall on my car which is made in USA (Pontiac G8) I found out on http://www.carpedalrecall.com I had friends and co workers also discover their cars had a recall maybe not a serious recall but a recall none the less, and really what recall isn’t serious. They recalled the car for a reason.. People should be more aware of the ghost in their machines.

These are all hoaxes now. Dont be Naive. A car can be stopped even if the brake pedal was MISSING. These people belong in jail.
