NHTSA reviewing issues with 2009, 2010 Toyota Corolla steering

As if Toyota didn’t have its hands full already, federal safety officials said today that they are looking into complaints from Toyota Corolla drivers about an issue with the steering on their vehicles.

Officials said that the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has received close to 80 complaints from drivers of 2009 and 2010 Toyota Corolla models. Many drivers are saying that their cars wander when they drive on the highway, making it hard for them to stay in lanes.

The NHTSA said it will determine if a formal safety investigation is necessary after looking into the complaints.

The department stressed that it is standard procedure for them to review driver complaints that they get every year on a wide range of vehicles.

    Toyota thinks that people will buy their cars now because in the 80s and 90s they were well built. They are no where near the quality they once were. Their cars get worse and worse and finally they are getting some of what they deserve.

    Greed….is the word….and you are right….TOYOTA used to be a very good car…..I have the 2009 Corolla and been telling Mike Johnson's Toyota in Hickory NC about the steering issue….they act like I can't drive the car…..HELLO…I can't wait to pull my car back in the Service Dept….in Hickory, NC….with my Lawyer ….Still have the Corolla….but went and bought a Honda to drive everyday…Corolla sits in the driveway waiting on Toyota to find their fix they been telling me they don't have for steering ….since April 2009…
