Video: Motor Trend gets a ride in the 2011 Ford Mustang V6

We’re eagerly looking forward to seeing the 2011 Ford Mustang V6 enter the egmCarTech garage later this year for a week-long test-drive – and that’s mainly because like Motor Trend, we were very disappointed by the 210-hp 2010 Ford Mustang V6.

For 2011, things have changed dramatically. Ford replaced the 210-hp V6 with a new 3.7L V6 Ti-VCT that makes 305-hp and a peak torque of 280 lb-ft. Ford says that 2011 Mustang V6 should return an estimated 19/30 mpg (city/highway) with a 6-speed automatic and 18/29 with a 6-speed manual.

305-hp and 30 mpg on the highway one-ups the 2010 Camaro”s 304-hp and 29 mpg.

Check out Motor Trend’s take in the video posted after the jump.
