Mini Countryman John Cooper Works seriously under consideration
Yesterday will go down in automotive history as the day Mini, a go-kart-like hatchback brand, introduced a crossover – the Mini Countryman. The 2011 Mini Countryman will hit the stateside market early next year with two gasoline engine options including the base 1.6L 4-cylinder Mini Countryman and a turbocharged Countryman S.
According to Mini’s UK general manager Jochen Goller, a high-performance John Cooper Works model is also in the works.
“It”s definitely under consideration,” Goller said. “JCW has been a big success and we”ll look at doing it again here.”
