Question of the Day: What car would you buy for under $25,000?

In the past, we’ve asked you guys which supercar you would buy if your had $300,000. We then decided to get a little more realistic and ask you which car you would by for under $40,000. Today, we decided to get as realistic as possible and are asking you what car you would buy if you only had $25,000.

    2010 Wrx 5 door Done…beat it for the price…with performance practicality. Oh AWD chicago winters…Embarrasing cars worth twice as much.

    You've never had to call a million people looking for a pickup when a friend's bike goes down.

    On another note, I'd rather be looking down at other cars than looking up. I'll take the consequences of a heavier vehicle.

    you have obviously been deeply scared by this bike incident you speak of (sorry). I would recomend counseling before make any further auto related opinions.

    I would have to agree with Omar on this one. I would rather get a rental truck for that once every 3 occation where you need a truck and drive a GTI or 2011 V6 mustang or WRX the rest of the 1,092 days

    Dear Kap,

    How on earth do you think you can some how get a 2011 mustang V6 with track package for under or even around 25K? What you've failed to realize is the to get the track pack for the V6 you must opt for the premium package on the V6 which certainly on the 2011 will push it over the 25K mark and thats not including the track package. WIth the track package you can expect it to be priced from 26900-27500. Next time do a little research…maybe?

    for 25k. would never go new.

    2005 350z with about 10k worth of upgrades, which should include a fun twin turbo. :-)

    no but with current pricing out for what 09's cost and 2010's cost you can speculate since they came out with pricing on the 2011's and the V6 and the GT both cost more than the previous year. But your're right there are SOME gray area's.

    GTI for sure. The fun/power balance can't be beat for that price.

    There is something to be said for getting in a car that makes you smile every day.

    Heck, the my GTI got the same mileage as my friend's Prius (35 mpg) for suburban driving (Michigan). Why not have fun while you drive?
    Unless you live in the city where fun is not an option.
