I really don't think that the buyers (40 to 55 year old, gold chain wearing, fat guys) of new Corvettes give a rat's ass about fuel efficiency. Corvettes are a discretionary purchase and not a need to have purchase.

It must be tough to convince the “old ball and chain” that you need a Vette when she is still driving the 2002 Malibu and has switched from Starbucks coffee to Dunkin Donuts.
